Carlton Landing Academy, a public magnet classical school, is designed as a series of ‘learning cottages’ arranged in small quadrangles. Each cottage contains two classrooms, connected by entryways and shared toilet facilities. Architectural inspiration is drawn from Oklahoma territorial-era schoolhouse vernacular – simple forms and basic materials are thoughtful, yet understated, providing an uncomplicated backdrop for a classical learning environment. In Phase One, the first two structures form the edges of the first quadrangle.
Other public components of Carlton Landing include the landmark Entry Tower, Outdoor Pavilion, and Community Pool – all designed with a harmonious Oklahoma Farmhouse / Carpenter Gothic aesthetic.
