Planning for the new church campus focuses on the gathering space. The existing water feature to the southwest organizes and creates a sense of orientation or “place” for visitors as well as long-time members. Much like a small community or college campus, the overall experience is developed from the interplay of buildings with the landscape and their relationships to each other.
The architectural site planning and design of the campus aim to instill a sense of community and compliment the surrounding development and pastoral environment. Vehicular entries are positioned to work with the natural topography and vegetation of the site. Pastoral driveways wind through the landscape giving glimpses of the new campus while leading to parking areas and major building entrances.
