The expansion incorporates similar materials and details to blend seamlessly with the original facility. It separates the new board rooms and training rooms from administrative functions to allow the OAEC to host many after-hours events. Other additions include integrated high-quality audio/visual and technology systems throughout, a catering kitchen, ADA compliant restrooms, and a large storage closet designed with enhanced tornado protection.

OAEC Conference Center
The Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) is a statewide association created and voluntarily supported by local electric distribution and generation/transmission cooperatives. Their central headquarters could no longer support board meetings and training sessions. They made the decision to expand through a design-build process with Lippert Bros., who hired STUDIOARCHITECTURE to design the addition and renovate the vacated board room into much needed support offices.
